Comrades,
Today we come to protest against the Imperialist war in Iraq and Afghanistan, a war that once again drags humanity backwards towards misery and towards genocide. So far close to 4200 soldiers have died, 50000 have been wounded while 1 million Iraqis have died because of the effects of the war. All victims of the lies and the greed of capitalism.
MovieNite: Norma Rae
May 5th.
Café Escape . 916 Williamson Street. 6:30pm.
More information: Yvonne 335.0357 o Martin info@calamadison.org
Norma Rae is a southern textile worker employed in a factory with intolerable working conditions. This concern about the situation gives her the gumption to be the key associate to a visiting labor union organizer. Together, they undertake the difficult, and possibly dangerous, struggle to unionize her factory.
